Issues Client Faced

  • Application for leave to remain as the spouse of a person settled in the UK
  • Best interests of the child

Client’s Situation

Mr E sought our help, after his appeal, had been dismissed by the Upper Tribunal. His previous representatives had made an application for him to be granted leave under Appendix FM, ex1 (10 year route to settlement). The Judge was not satisfied that he could not relocate with his family in the country of origin.

Our Action

When he instructed us, it became apparent that the previous representatives had not identified that the income the wife was receiving in the form of a bursary for her studies, coupled with savings in his country of origin, were going to be sufficient for him to make an application to be granted leave under the 5 year route to settlement.

The Result

Mr W was granted a leave to remain as the spouse of a person settled in the UK under the 5year route to settlement.

What The Client Said

“I First of all I want to thank LUPINS for the level of professionalism and expertise I witnessed while they dealt with my case. I have come across lawyers during this period but the experience with you was professional and personal.

The last 2 years would have been even more unbearable if it had not been for your caring and compassionate attitude, concerning my stay in the UK with my family. I wish to thank Rosy Romano from my heart, she was able to find a way to go over or around all the barriers that were put in front of us. I am strongly convinced that if not for her, I would be facing deportation back to Nigeria leaving my lovely family behind. Telling you that I felt comfortable with you from the first time we spoke would be an understatement. Upon meeting you I felt at ease and appreciated your professionalism and explanation of what was to come ahead. I truly felt that I, and my family had met and made a new friend.

… My feeling is that I had the best representation possible. I was kept informed much more than I expected and you always explained all options clearly.

Frankly speaking, LUPINS were available, down to earth, and cut through a lot of the B.S. lines. They are shining examples of professional, caring and knowledgeable attorneys. Immigration issues can be very uncomfortable and stressful while going through the process. LUPINS made me feel very comfortable throughout the whole process. … This is without any doubt, a law firm of professional calibre.”
