Devakar joined Lupins in August 2016 as a senior level 2 accredited caseworker.
Devakar started his career at another law firm as a paralegal in 2009 and subsequently became a caseworker. He completed the Law Society Level 2 immigration and asylum accreditation in 2013. Devakar graduated in Law from the BPP Law School with upper class honours.
Devakar has extensive experience in immigration law including points based system (PBS) applications and appeals, visitor visas, EEA Applications, judicial review, human rights and asylum.
Devakar has working experience in other areas of law including crime, family and civil litigation where he has assisted on cases in the County Court, Crown Court, Court of Appeal and Judicial Committee of the Privy Council.
He thrives on being able to provide competent legal advice and excellent client care to his clients. Since joining Lupins, Devakar successfully completed his Immigration and Asylum re-accreditation.
He is fluent (Including reading and writing) in French, Hindi and Mauritian- Creole.
Devakar was also in the British Territorial Army (TA) for over 5 years and in 2008 he completed his training. He had the honour of being invited personally to Buckingham palace for the TA 100 year anniversary. Devakar had his portrait displayed as the ‘Face of the London Regiment’ in ‘Soldier’, the official British Army Magazine and as well in the London Regiment’s official magazine.
He plays football competitively for a local club in South East London and volunteered at his University’s pro bono department to help clients who were in need.
