Stefan Vnuk came to the UK from Australia in 1993. He has successfully completed a series of legal qualifications culminating in Level 3 Advanced Caseworker and Supervisor status. After qualifying as a UK solicitor in 1996 (he qualified as an Australian solicitor in 1992) Stefan began a five-year stint with Lloyd & Associates.
Stefan joined Fisher Meredith in 2002, where he was the head of the immigration department. He left Fisher Meredith to join Lawrence Lupin Solicitors in 2011. Stefan conducts a wide range of asylum and human rights cases, particularly in the higher courts. He is a ranked solicitor in the influential Chambers and Partners ranking guide. He is a member of the Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association (ILPA) and he has conducted training for ILPA, the Refugee Children’s Project and internally within the firm.
He is also a member of the Expert Panel advising the Strategic Legal Fund for Vulnerable Young Migrants. Recent reported Supreme Court cases include Nouazli  UKSC 16 (lead case relating to the UK’s power to detain EU nationals and discrimination); O  UKSC 19 (lead case relating to detention of mentally ill persons and Home Office policy).
